Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has said that Sindh’s Bundal Island will outdo Dubai.
In a press conference with Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi in Islamabad, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that the Prime Minister wants to build two new cities on the islands of Karachi.
Governor Sindh said that the Prime Minister wants Bundle Island to emerge better than Ravi City, he wants to build two new cities, Bundle Island is not a housing project.
He said that Bundle Island will not be brought to Islamabad it will remain a part of Sindh and the income from Bundle Island will also go to the Sindh government.
Imran Ismail said that the provincial government would be taken into confidence to set up a city in Bundal Island.
The Sindh governor said that international investors were interested in setting up a city in Bundle Island and the revenue from the Karachi islands would go to the Sindh government.
He said the project would bring in $50 billion and domestic and foreign investors.
Imran Ismail said that reforms in Karachi and the islands should be kept separate while more than 1.5 lakh jobs would be created on the islands.
He added that Bundal and Budu Islands would have clean drinking water and modern drainage systems.
Sindh Governor said that the people of Sindh would benefit the most from the development of the coastal strip and for its completion, a working group on the development of Bundal Island would be formed.

He said that earlier the lease of the said islands was given by Port Qasim and Bundle Island is part of Port Qasim Authority under the 1973 Act so do not politicize the matter.
