A young woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men in Lahore.
According to the details, the woman was waiting for transport to commute at Jaranwala Road, in the limits of PS Mangatwala after the bus she was traveling in broke out.
According to the police, she was given a lift by passing by car on the road. Police said that the rape victim was intoxicated by the men traveling in the car and was then gang-raped by six men.
Police added that the incident was reported on September 24.
The case of the incident has been registered, while no arrests have been made so far.
As per the victim’s statement, she was waiting for a ride back home with a friend. “The bus I was traveling in had broken down,”
It stated that while the survivor was waiting, two men in a white car stopped and offered to drop the passengers home. When the woman got into the car, she was drugged.
She added that “The men took me to a nearby dera where four other men were present. All six men raped me one by one.”
The perpetrators then left the woman in the fields near the area.
“They called my friend and told her to pick me up from there,” she said in her statement.
A case has been registered under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
