Former Naval Chief Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari was laid to rest with military honors.
According to details, the Pakistan Navy spokesman said in his statement that former Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Fasih Bukhari was buried with military honors in Islamabad.
The Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi while a large number of senior retired and present service officers of the Armed Forces including former Chiefs of the Pakistan Navy attended the funeral, the spokesman said.
The Navy spokesman also said that the entire nation, especially the Pakistan Navy, pays homage to the services of Admiral Fasih Bukhari.
The Navy spokesman added that the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff and other agencies also laid wreaths at the grave of Admiral Fasih Bukhari.
It may be recalled that former Naval Chief Admiral (retd) Fasih Bukhari had passed away yesterday. He had been ill for some time.
Admiral Fasih Bukhari was commissioned in the Pakistan Navy in 1962. He was the Chief of Naval Staff from 1997 to 1999.
