A meeting of the Council of Common Interests was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday.
According to the details, a plan of Rs 350 billion was agreed to eradicate malnutrition among women and children. In the meeting, the Prime Minister directed that the plan for eliminating malnutrition in children would be valid till 2025.
During the meeting, it was decided that a nationwide development project would be brought in to eradicate stunting malnutrition in children while a five-year project at a cost of Rs. 350 billion.

It was informed in the meeting that the federal government would provide Rs 175 billion for the prevention of stunting in children while the project would alleviate malnutrition of 1.5 crore women and 3.9 million children.
The next meeting of the Council of Common Interests will be held in January next year to address issues related to electricity, gas, oil, and water in order to address the growing energy problems in the country.
It is pertinent to mention here that Chief Ministers of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan were also present in the meeting.
