Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will gather under one roof on Friday in Niamey, Niger.
As per the details, the two-day session of OIC will begin today. During the session, a wide range of issues confronting the Muslim world with a particular focus on combating Islamophobia will be discussed.
In addition to this, the session will also discuss the problems of Palestine and Jammu and Kashmir and the situation of Muslim minorities in non-OIC countries.
According to sources, the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will highlight the aggravating human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and India’s illegal measures to change the demographic structure of the occupied territory.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the Foreign Minister said that after August 5, 2019, India’s illegal and unilateral actions and subsequent steps to change the demographic structure of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and increasing human rights violations in the Occupied Territories.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi will also highlight the growing incidence of Islamophobia and hate speech against Muslims and the need for unity in the Islamic world to combat Islamophobia and promote interfaith harmony, the statement said.
The Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of his counterparts/member countries.
Representatives of OIC member states and 5 observer states are expected to attend the meeting.
