After fresh 2,839 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the national tally of Pakistan now stands at 398,024.
According to the Government’s portal, Pakistan’s infection rate for daily COVID-19 caseload has risen above 8%.
In addition to this, 40 more people succumbed to the disease, taking the death toll to 8,025. As many as 1,613 patients have recovered from the virus during the last 24 hours and 2,046 patients are in critical condition. A total of 33,302 tests were conducted across the country during this period. 341,423 people have recovered from the deadly disease while 5,508,810 samples have been tested so far.
Earlier it was revealed at the meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre that five major cities of the country, Rawalpindi, Islamabad Karachi, Hyderabad, and Peshawar are contributing 70 percent of Coronavirus spread.
In the meeting, it was briefed that around 46 deaths on an average were recorded for this week and average 237 hospital admissions were noted.
It was also apprised that all required medical equipment is available as per need and proper supply is being managed.
