Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Jalsa will take place in Peshawar today (Sunday). City Traffic Police have issued a traffic plan in this regard.

According to a plan issued for PDM Peshawar rally, the public coming from Islamabad and Mardan have been advised to take GT Road from Rashakai Interchange to reach Peshawar.

Commuters coming from Charsadda have been directed to take the Charsadda Road, while people coming from southern districts were advised to use the Frontier Road near Matani as well as the Inqilab Road in Scheme Chowk.

According to the details, the entry of heavy vehicles into the city will be banned throughout the day.

Meanwhile, the commuters will also be updated via social media and traffic police FM radio.

Earlier on Saturday, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl ur Rehman said the PTI government is the representative of a stolen mandate, it’s not the representative of people.

Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Maulana Fazl said the time has come for “Pakistan’s Trump” to be “removed” from office.

He added, “A historic rally will take place tomorrow in Peshawar,” he vowed, adding that the next rally will be held on November 26 in Larkana which his party, JUI-F, will host.

He further added that the that the Opposition’s campaign against the government has reached its peak and that the organisational structure of the movement is now complete.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the Opposition will not allow the government to rest at any juncture in the movement. He said another rally will take place on November 30 in Multan.

“This illegitimate government itself is a big corona,” he said.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan had criticized PDM for holding jalsas as coronavirus cases witnessing a major spike in Pakistan.

PM Khan retweeted federal Minister Asad Umar’s tweet and criticized that the PDM members are playing reckless politics with people’s safety.

He recalled that the same PDM members had wanted a strict lockdown earlier.

They are even defying court orders & holding a jalsa when cases are rising dramatically, he added.
