PDM Peshawar rally: Threat alert issued ahead of political gathering
The Security agencies on Sunday has issued a threat alert ahead of the PDM rally in Peshawar.
According to the reports, the PDM rally can be targeted through a suicide bomber or IED blast at the jalsagah or adjoining areas.
The political leadership has been informed about the threat alert, and the security of the jalsagah has been tightened.
Let it be known that the Anti-government coalition Pakistan Democratic Movement PDM will be holding a rally in Peshawar despite a ban on public gathering amid the second wave of the novel coronavirus.
The district administration had already denied allowing Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) to hold a public gathering on November 22.
JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the president of the alliance, maintained that the government was using the issue of coronavirus as an excuse to stop the opposition from staging its public gatherings.
Prime Minister Imran Khan in his tweet on Saturday criticized the opposition parties for insisting on holding their public meeting in Peshawar amid reports of rising Covid-19 cases.
