Sui Southern Gas Employees To Stage Protest Against Pay Cuts
Sui Southern Gas employees have announced a protest on Friday against non-receipt of promotion order and possible reduction in salaries.
According to details, the Sui Gas Officers Association said in a statement that SSGC officers from all over Sindh and Balochistan would protest on Friday while the protest in Karachi would be held in front of the SSGC head office.
Sui Gas Officers Association further said that officers posted at all zonal and CFCs across the city would participate in the protest while protests would also be staged at regional offices in Sindh and Balochistan including Hyderabad, Sukkur and Quetta. Officers of each grade will be involved.
Sources said that most of the officers have lost interest in the work of the company due to non-receipt of promotions by the company on time, as a result of which the decline in UFG has increased in the long run.
The sources further said that in the last five years, the UFG has increased from 11% to 18% while it is officially reported to be 25%.
