Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary: PDM leaders reached Garhi Khuda Bukhsh

The 13th Death anniversary of former Prime Minister Shaheed Benazir Bhutto is being observed on Sunday (today).

Mass gathering (jalsa) in the memory of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has begun at Garhi Khuda Bukhsh today.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz has reached the venue where Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari welcomed her.

Moreover, Bilawal Bhutto has also welcomed Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam leader Abdul Ghafoor Haideri.

PPP supporters have begun reaching Garhi Khuda Bukhsh. 

On the other hand, a nine-member delegation of PML-N has also reached Naudero House. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur, and Sherry Rehman welcomed the delegation. 

Who will address the gathering?

According to the sources, the public meeting will begin at 1 pm on Sunday. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has arrived in Larkana.

Poets have been invited to present poetry in the memory of the late Benazir Bhutto.

Speeches will begin at 3 pm. On the other hand, PDM leaders Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Maryam Nawaz, Abdul Ghafoor Haideri will address the meeting at 5 o clock. The meeting will end at 7 o clock.

It is pertinent to mention that Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah reached Ghari Khuda Bakhsh in Larkana on Saturday to monitor the arrangements.

What arrangements have been made for Benazir Bhutto’s death anniversary?

Arrangements for the mass jalsa have been completed. The shrines of martyrs and nearby areas have been decorated with party flags and banners. Carpets have also been placed for the workers to sit on.

Moreover, Walk-through gates have been installed at the entrances of the shrines.

Furthermore, over 7,000 police personnel have been deployed, including women commandos and traffic police personnel. Security arrangements have been made tight. Officials will monitor the venue through CCTV cameras.

Apart from that reception and medical camps have also been set up at the venue.
