Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has confirmed the submission of resignations of party assembly members by December 31.
During a press conference after the meeting of the PPP Central Working Committee in Islamabad, he said that the PPP Central Working Committee has ratified the decisions of the PDMA.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the working committee of the party has confirmed the deadline of the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan till January 31 and now it is time that Imran Khan has to go.
He further said that the Prime Minister should go home himself otherwise we will send him home.
Speaking on the Senate elections, Bilawal Bhutto expressed hope that if the PDMs contest the Senate elections together, they can compete well.
He said that now is the time to end foreign interference in politics.
In addition, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the arrest of PML-N leader Khawaja Asif.
He said that the arrest of the former defence minister was a politics of revenge and this attitude was against democracy and national integrity.
Replying to a question, the PPP chairman said that the party would contest the Senate elections and the action plan of the All Parties Conference should be followed.
He said that it was the opinion of the PPP CEC that we should challenge the present government in every forum including the Senate elections, the opinion of the CEC would be presented before the PDM.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the final decision would be taken by consensus of the PDM.
Responding to a question about the Mardan rally, he said that PPP representatives were present at the rally but they could not get a chance to reach the stage and speak.
