President Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has urged India to stop the use of force against Kashmiri people and pay attention to the legitimate call of Kashmiris for the grant of the right to self-determination.

As per the details, Khan in a statement expressed grave concern over reports of the worst torture against thousands of Kashmiri youth rotting in jails in occupied Jammu and Kashmir as well as in India and their brainwashing to deter them from the demand of freedom.

He also urged India to resolve the long-standing Kashmir conflict through political and diplomatic means following the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Apart from that, he called upon the UN Human Rights Council and other international human rights organizations to intervene and ensure the release of these youth and the political prisoners.

Earlier, Sardar Masood Khan has expressed concern over the Indian government’s move to create the first military settlement in Budgam district of the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Masood Khan said in a statement that India has already constructed two military settlements in the Jammu region, but it failed to build such settlements in Kashmir valley because of the opposition of political parties and the Hurriyat leaders.

Masood further said the latest move by the Indian government has validated the apprehensions that India under well-thought-out planning is swiftly acting to grab the lands of Kashmiris in order to turn the whole Jammu and Kashmir state into its colony.
