Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar expected to meet Bilawal Bhutto today

Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is expected to meet Bilawal in Lahore today. Khokhar had recently resigned from his position as the PPP chairperson’s spokesperson.

According to the sources, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had personally approached Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar and invited him for the meeting in an effort to sort out “differences” between the two on some unknown matters.

Announcing his decision in a tweet, Khokhar said he would stand by Bilawal “through thick and thin”.

“I have resigned from the position of spokesperson to the chairman, not from PPP. Will stand by BBZ through thick and thin. In my years as his spokesperson, have given counsel with honesty, sincerity and in the best interests of the country and the party,” he said.

It should be noted that Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar is among some of the frontline PPP leaders who defend their party forcefully and emphatically in the media. He also did not attend the PDM’s public meeting in Lahore on Sunday and preferred to stay in the federal capital, which is also his home city.
