Pak-Iran International Border Crossing Point Inaugurates In Gwadar

Pakistan-Iran International Border Crossing Point Inaugurated in Gwadar.

Minister of Defense Production Zubaida Jalal and Iranian Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami inaugurated the border crossing.

Addressing the inaugural function, Zubaida Jalal said that the border crossing would help in the welfare and prosperity of the people of the adjoining areas and increase the mobility, bilateral trade and economic activities of the people.

She said that the border crossing would also ensure greater cooperation between the two states, adding that the erection of the border fence would further improve the security situation while boosting trade activities in the border areas.

At the inauguration of the Border Crossing Point, the two sides also discussed the possibility of opening a border market to boost trade activities in the border areas.

The inaugural ceremony was attended by Governor of Balochistan and Sistan Province of Iran, Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Ambassador of Pakistan to Iran and senior officials.

It should be noted that this is the second border crossing between Pakistan and Iran.
