In seven areas in Peshawar, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has agreed to enforce a smart lockdown over the growing number of coronavirus cases in the province.
From today (17 December) the lockdown will begin at 6 pm.
The ‘monitored entry and exit’ will be in the given areas.
According to the notification of the Deputy Commissioner, no person will be permitted to leave or enter “other than those delivering basic necessities.
All public meetings and gatherings are also prohibited.
On December 16, 13 people died due to the COVID-19, raising the provincial toll to 1,502. Throughout Pakistan, the outbreak has affected over 9,000 lives.
