Prime Minister Imran Khan has stressed the necessity of online training of teachers, especially in remote areas, to improve the quality of education.

As per the details, PM Khan launched RadioSchool and Education Portal in Islamabad. During the launch, he urged parents to help children take maximum benefit of distance learning by utilizing modern tools.

RadioSchool has been launched as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training to ensure continuity of education, disrupted due to Covid-19 through distance learning.

The premier congratulated the ministers for taking a significant step to impart education in far-flung areas amid the pandemic.

It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Education and Professional Training have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard. Educational programs are being broadcast from different mediumwave and FM networks of Radio Pakistan from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon and then as repeat broadcast from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm seven days a week.

The facility has been made available on mobile apps, which can be downloaded via Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed a ceremony of Pakistan Citizen’s Portal.

According to details, addressing a function, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that 3 million people used the Citizen Portal.

The prime minister said that overseas Pakistanis took full advantage of the Citizen Portal.
