Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has contracted the coronavirus after which he has isolated himself.

Azhar Mashwani, the chief minister’s focal person for digital media, tweeted on the social networking site, “Usman Buzdar has tested positive for COVID-19.
He had mild symptoms (Fever and Flu) since last night and in self-isolation as per the advice of Doctors. Request for prayers for early recovery.”

 

Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had given up his official duties due to ill health.

Azhar Mashwani had said in a tweet on social networking site Twitter that doctors had advised Usman Buzdar to temporarily give up all political and office engagements and rest due to ill health.

The focal person also prayed for the speedy recovery of Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.

The reasons for Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s ill health were not immediately clear.

It should be noted that since the first case of coronavirus in the country since February 2020, many political and social figures, cricketers, movie stars and others have fallen victim to this global pandemic.

Speaking of politicians, National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Railway Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif, his son Hamza Shahbaz, Pakistan Peoples Party leader Sindh Minister Saeed Ghani and Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal were among the politicians who were diagnosed with the coronavirus but all recovered. In addition, other political figures have also recovered from the coronavirus.

It should be noted that while the use of vaccines for the prevention of coronavirus has started all over the world, the second wave is also spreading rapidly and its wars are also continuing in Pakistan.

The total number of people infected with the virus in the country is 458,968 out of which 49,085 have recovered while the number of deaths has reached 9,392.
