Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Imran Khan on Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfi Bukhari has said that every effort is being made to bring PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif back to Pakistan.

According to the details, talking to the media in Sohawa, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari said that the government is in touch with the British government to bring Nawaz Sharif to Pakistan.

He said that PTI government is not afraid of any public gathering organized by the opposition alliance. He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is playing with the lives of people for their own interests.

Earlier Ijaz Shah, the interior minister has also said the efforts are underway to bring back former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Speaking to media officials in Nankana Sahib, Ijaz Shah advised Nawaz Sharif to return to the country and face the cases registered against him.

Taking on the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) anti-government rallies, the minister said the opposition parties should also think about the lives of the masses as the coronavirus pandemic is on the rise. The mortality rate in Multan due to COVID-19 is high.

Prime Minister Imran Khan called-off public gatherings amid a major spike in coronavirus cases.

Nawaz Sharif, who was convicted over corruption by the accountability court, had flown to London in November 2019, after the federal government gave him rare permission to get abroad for medical treatment.

A bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) on September 15 issued the former premier’s non-bailable arrest warrants after he failed to appear before the bench for hearing of his appeals against his conviction in Al-Azizia and Avenfield cases.
