Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that corruption is the biggest threat to the progress of Pakistan

Imran Khan in a series of his tweets said that first Panama papers and now Broadsheet revelations have again exposed the corruption and money laundering committed by the ruling elites in Pakistan.

Imran Khan wrote:

Panama Papers exposed our ruling elites corruption & money laundering earlier. Now Broadsheet revelations have again exposed the massive scale of our ruling elites corruption & money laundering. These elites cannot hide behind “victimization” card on these int revelations.

The Prime Minister added that, he has been consistently repeating about the corruption in his 24 year fight against misconducts.

PM wrote:

What do these revelations expose repeatedly? 1. Exactly what I have been saying in my 24-yr fight against corruption which is the biggest threat to Pak’s progress. 2. These elites come to power & plunder the country.

Imran Khan added:

  1. They do money laundering to stash their ill-gotten gains abroad, safe from domestic prosecution. 4. They then use their political clout to get NROs. That is how they kept their plundered wealth safe. People of Pak are biggest losers:

Furthermore, the Prime Minister said transparency will be assured in the investigation about the UK asset firm Broadsheet claims against the former premier Nawaz Sharif.

The Prime Minister wrote:

Not only is their nation’s wealth stolen by the elites, their taxpayer money, paid for recovering this wealth, is wasted bec of NROs. These revelations tip of the iceberg. We want complete transparency from Broadsheet on our elites money laundering & on who stopped investigations.

PM on Broadsheet Claims

Let it be known that Prime Minister Imran Khan while chairing the meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday, directed to make public the investigation report on bribery claims against Nawaz Sharif.

Moreover, Imran Khan handed over the task to the Information Minister and directed to make an investigation report public.

Earlier this week, the Chief Executive Officer of firm Broadsheet saga, asset recovery firm of the United Kingdom claimed that Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) Supremo Nawaz Sharif provided bribe for abandoning probe towards his overseas property.
