ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has invited the opposition to come to the Foreign Office for talks on Kashmir.

According to details, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing the Senate session said that government and opposition’s point of view on Kashmir issue is the same, on January 5 the United Nations made a promise to Kashmiris that promised has not been fulfilled.

The Foreign Minister said that Kashmiris are living a miserable life in the occupied valley and unable to raise their voice.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India militarized Occupied Kashmir by force and deployed 900,000 troops in Occupied Kashmir. Today, extremist thinking of RSS is prevailing in India while Kashmiris are discontented with the Indian government.

FM Qureshi also paid homage to Syed Ali Gilani, Asiya Andrabi and said that human rights were being violated in occupied Kashmir, every citizen of Pakistan was advocating for Kashmiris and would continue to do so.

Referring to the United States, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that a new administration is coming to the United States, Biden has special experience in foreign policy matters, Biden is fully aware of the challenges in the region.

Criticizing the opposition, he said that he wished opposition could go beyond their political interests and show a little more seriousness on the Kashmir issue.

On the other hand, While addressing the senate, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman reitreted Pakistan’s demand to conduct reffrendum in Kashmir.

Sherry Rehman said that Indian forces were oppressing the youth in Kashmir by firing pellet and a report on the matter had been submitted to the United Nations.
