Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar said that Government’s support for export sectors finally starting to pay off.
While replying to a Tweet Asad Umar wrote, “Pakistan export performance in recent months outperforming competitors in south Asia.”
He added, “this is after years that we are seeing a reversal of a trend in which those countries consistently outperformed Pakistan. Govt support for export sectors finally starting to pay off.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the increase in exports is an important pillar of Pakistan his government’s economic policy.
In a statement released on social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that exports in December had increased by 18% over the previous year.
Imran Khan congratulated all exporters on record exports in December and asked them to continue this trend.
He wrote, “Congratulations to all the exporters on achieving record exports in Dec 2020 with a growth of 18 % over the previous year. Well done & keep up this trend. A major pillar of our govt’s economic policy is export enhancement & we will provide full support to promote export culture.”
