Karachi to receive a new wave of cold weather from today

The second wave of cold weather has entered Karachi. Cold and dry winds are blowing in the city on Saturday morning.

As per the details, the current temperature recorded in Karachi is 18 degrees Celsius. Winds are blowing with a speed of 10 to 30 kilometers in the city whereas the sight limit is between 2 to 3 kilometers.

Karachi is expected to receive cold weather from today as the temperature is expected to reach a minimum of 7 degrees Celsius.

Cloudy weather with chances of rain (snowfall over hills) in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and northeast Punjab on Saturday. However, cold and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country. Fog is likely to prevail in few plain areas of Punjab.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, a westerly wave is affecting upper parts of the country till tonight.

Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, while very cold in upper parts on Sunday. Fog is likely to prevail in few plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh.

Past 24-hour weather

Rainfall occured in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Potohar region and Islamabad. Fog prevailed in central and southern plain areas of Punjab. Weather remained cold and dry in other parts of the country. Snowfall was also recorded in Kalam, Malam Jabba, Murree, Astore and Chitral during this period.

Snowfall(inch): Kalam 10, Malam Jabba, Astore 04, Murree 02 and Chitral 01.
