Talks between the government and the Hazara community are likely to break down soon.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has arrived at a sit-in protest of the Hazara community, where he is briefing the participants on the progress of the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Prime Minister directed the negotiating team to convince the family members of the victims and the protesters while help was also sought from eminent scholars.
According to sources, in case of success in the talks, the Prime Minister will likely to visit Quetta today.
Earlier, Prime Minister PM Imran Khan on Friday vowed to visit the families of slain coal miners of Machh, to express solidarity with them after they bury their loved ones.
According to the details, Imran Khan while addressing the inauguration ceremony of Technology Park in Islamabad, said “If the bereaved families bury the slain miners today, I will go to Quetta today.”
He said all of their demands had been met as of Thursday but the Hazara mourners were insisting on his visit to Quetta as a condition for the burial of the victims, which, he said, is uncalled for.
“One of their demands is that they will bury the dead after the prime minister comes [to Quetta],” the PM said.
