Member of Punjab Assembly, Munira Yamin Satti of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday passed away due to the novel coronavirus.
According to details, the MPA Munira Yamin Satti was under treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi.
She was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) on a reserved seat for women in 2018 Pakistani general election.
Back on December 21st 2020, Senator Kalsoom Parveen of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has passed away due to the novel coronavirus.
She was put on a Ventilator for oxygen support on November 28, 2020.
She was elected to the Senate of Pakistan on a reserved seat for women as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) in the 2003 Senate election.
Earlier in October 2020, Veteran politician and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Gilgit-Baltistan chapter president Syed Jaffar Shah, 75, also died due to COVID-19.
The deceased was elected member of the then Northern Areas Council three times. He had joined Pakistan Peoples Party in the late 80s and held the post of the party president from 2005 to 2012. From 2012 to 2016, he served as judge of the GB Supreme Appellate Court.
After retirement from the judiciary, he joined the PTI, and was made the party’s GB president in 2019.
