The calendar of academic session 2020-21 has been released for federal government educational institutions.
According to the sources from the Federal Directorate of Education, the new academic year will start from August 2, 2021.
Moreover, sources from the education Ministry say that summer vacations have been reduced to one month.

Apart from that, the examination schedule for the classes has also been revealed. According to details, 5th and 8th Central Examinations will be from 18th to 31st May. Furthermore, examinations of classes 1st to 4th as well as 6th and 7th will be held from 1st to 15th June, 5th and 8th Central Examinations The results will be announced on June 30.
Earlier, Federal education Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced in a tweet about the commencement of the new academic year.
He has also announced that private schools are free to use any text-book that is in conformity with Single National Curriculum and has NOC from the provincial government.
