Addressing the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) protest outside the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in Islamabad on Tuesday, JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that Imran Khan’s government has been forcefully imposed on the nation as PTI had rejected the 2018 election.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that they would celebrate February 5 in solidarity with Kashmiris while on February 5 there would be a demonstration at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.
The PDM chief said that Nawaz Sharif was sacked only for not taking residence (Iqama) and salary from his son while PTI had taken money from other countries including the Middle East through funding while Imran Khan had contested elections with Israeli and Indian money but no Maulvi is ready to take money from India and Israel.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also said that no Maulvi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accepted the funds while Rs. 10,000 per month was announced for the Imam of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief PDM Maulana Fazlur Rehman further said that PTI was funded by India and Israel, there would be a long march and the rulers would not get a chance to flee.
Earlier, Maryam Nawaz lashed out at the Prime Minister saying that he was fully prepared to rob the people from the beginning.
“Today we have gathered in front of the ECP office to remind it of its constitutional responsibilities, to tell the chief election commissioner that your institution is a constitutional institution and an institution of the people. This is the institution that the Constitution has made responsible for respecting the people’s votes and this is the institution that had to get respect for the people’s votes,” she added.
