Pakistan International Airlines flight Boeing 777 has been seized by Malaysian authorities in Kuala Lampur by the orders of the court on Friday (today).
As per the details, the leasing company has not paid the lease of PIA Boeing 777 registration APBMH along with other payments that are withheld.
The crew informed that they are ready for departure with passengers on board. The crew said that the atc informed them to standby where the local authorities came on board and asked the crew that they are not allowed to depart as per orders.
Passengers on board will be brought to Pakistan and arrangements for their travels have been made.
The plane was bought on lease by a Vietnam company in 2015. PIA spokesperson said that the matter is being heard in the British court.
PIA Suspends Flights To China
PIA has temporarily suspended flights to China in the wake of the second wave of coronavirus in China.
According to the details, the flights were cancelled after the COVID-19 test of Pakistani passengers came positive, a PIA spokesman confirmed the cancellation of the flights.
According to sources, China has also imposed a temporary travel ban on Pakistani passengers. PIA operates two weekly flights to China.
It should be noted that the second wave of Coronavirus has engulfed the world, which has led to an increase in cases and deaths.
