Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to operationalize 3G/4G broadband services for residents of South Waziristan from today.

According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan while addressing today, said that the incumbent government is fully committed to working for the welfare of the people of Waziristan.

He lamented that the region had suffered the most in the past two decades due to the war on terror. “We will try to uplift this area and provide the facilities we can,” he said, adding that the government hoped to generate employment by utilizing olive trees, as the area was the best in the country for such flora.

Imran Khan said that PTI government has prioritized to develop tribal areas and Balochistan. He announced to establish a technical college in tribal areas in order to groom technical skills of youth.

He said that it was a difficult task to merge the tribal areas with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province and some elements tried to create anarchy over the move.

Imran Khan paid tribute to the tribesmen for playing their role during the merger of tribal districts with KP province.

Imran Khan said that assistance would be provided to the region under the Ehsaas program, adding that the government was considering providing cattle to women to allow them to earn their own income from produce.

He said the government would also improve the road infrastructure so farmers could easily take their produce to markets.

Speaking on the Kamyab Jawan Program, the Prime Minister said that the government would expand its scope and boost its funding from next year so even more low-cost loans could be given to the people.
