An anti-terrorism court in Karachi has awarded Saad Aziz and others 50 years prison for killing a Pakistan Navy officer, and a policeman.

According to the details, Saad Aziz, who was sentenced to death by a military court for killing 48 Ismailis in Safoora in March 2015 and murdering human rights activist Sabeen Mahmud, sent to 50 years imprisonment in murder case.

The police registered a case against Aziz alias Tin Tin, and Tahir Hussain Minhas for attacking Pakistan Navy Captain Nadeem Ahmed and his wife Tracey.

Ahmed and his wife were traveling in their car when two gunmen on motorcycles opened fire at them. Ahmed died on the spot while his wife was injured.

The terrorist has also been convicted of attacking and killing a police constable, identified as Waqar Hashmi, in New Karachi on October 16, 2014.

Waqar Hashmi was posted in the Rapid Response Force Unit, and attacked and killed at the Powerhouse Chowrangi in Sector 11-K of New Karachi while returning home from his duty.

Earlier while hearing the policeman’s murder case, the judge issued a letter to the in-charge of the Counter-Terrorism Department with direction to ensure production of prosecution witnesses.
