SHC orders to restore BOL News channel license immediately

Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday suspended the cancellation of BOL News TV channel license.

According to the details, the bench while conducting the hearing of the case related to BOL News TV channel license cancellation by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA); ordered to restore the broadcast immediately.

Moreover, the Sindh High Court has also directed Chairman PEMRA Mirza Saleem Baig and other parties to submit response till January 27^th.

It is pertinent to mention that license of BOL News was suspended by PEMRA on 22nd January 2021. The media group was also asked to pay Rs 1 million as fine.
