Chief of the Naval Staff CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi on Tuesday held a meeting with Ambassador of Portugal to Pakistan H.E Mr Paulo Neves Pocinho.

According to the Naval Spokesperson, the meeting was held the Pakistan Navy Headquarters in Islamabad.

PN Spokesperson said that both the dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral collaborations and maritime security in the region.

A day earlier, Ambassador of Greece to Pakistan H.E Mr Andreas Papastavrou visited NHQ, Islamabad & called on CNS Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.

PN Spokesperson said that both the dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest, bilateral collaborations & maritime security in the region.

The same day, a media briefing on the 7th Multinational Naval Exercise AMAN-2021 was conducted at Pakistan Navy Fleet headquarters in Karachi wherein, COMPAK R/Adm Naveed Ashraf briefed media about biennial Exercise AMAN.

The Spokesperson of Pakistan Navy said that Exercise AMAN contributes towards regional peace and stability, resolve against terrorism, collaborate to maintain safe and sustainable maritime domain and enhance interoperability between regional and extra regional navies. Around 45 countries are participating in 7th edition of Ex AMAN-21.

Let it be known that the Pakistan Navy has been hosting Multinational Naval exercise AMAN biennially since March 2007. The Exercise AMAN brings together Ships, Aircraft, SOF/EOD Teams and Observers from the Navies of East and West under one umbrella for collaborative peace and security in the maritime domain.
