COVID-19 Update: Pakistan records 958 new case in past 24 hours

At least 47 deaths and 958 new cases have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours due to the corona virus.

According to the statistics by the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) the total number of deaths from coronavirus in Pakistan has reached 12,380 while the total number of affected people has reached 564,824.

In the country, 527,061 people have recovered from Coronavirus and the number of patients undergoing treatment is 25,383.

The highest number of deaths due to corona was in Punjab where 5,084 people lost their lives while 4,226 in Sindh, 2,000 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 486 in Islamabad, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 199 in Balochistan and In Azad Kashmir, 283 succumbed to the dread virus.

The number of corona cases in Islamabad is 42,808, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 69,885, in Sindh 254,016, in Punjab 164,696, in Balochistan 18,946, in Azad Kashmir 9,532 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,941 people have been infected with Coronavirus.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, the rate of positive cases of coronavirus in Karachi is 10.68%. The rate of positive cases in Islamabad is 1.18%, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.25%, in Punjab 5.97% and in Sindh 10.23%.

Whereas in Azad Kashmir, the positive cases of Corona are 5.97%, in Balochistan 3.52% and in Gilgit-Baltistan 0.56%.

Coronavirus vaccination is underway in Pakistan and in the first phase, health workers are being vaccinated.

Adult vaccination centers have been set up across the country and the entire vaccination process will be controlled by digital mechanisms.

For the first phase of vaccination, 189 vaccination centers have been set up in Punjab and 14 in Sindh, while 280 vaccination centers have been set up in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 in Balochistan and 14 in Islamabad. Moreover, the vaccination will be carried out through 25 centers in Azad Kashmir and 16 centers in Gilgit-Baltistan.
