Foreign Minister FM Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said that the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government is taking prime measures to control the rising inflation.
According to the details, in a statement today, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that, “There is no doubt that inflation is our biggest challenge at the moment. Prime Minister Imran Khan himself is active in tackling this challenge.
The foreign minister observed that some people wanted to become rich overnight and they resorted to hoarding and profiteering which caused inflation. He, however, added that the incumbent government was very much active against the hoarders and profiteers.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that, “All possible steps are being taken to free the people from the clutches of inflation – we will soon overcome these tough circumstances.”
FM added that the performance of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) looks much better than in the past.
While speaking about the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he said that the torment of accountability is getting closer to Opposition alliance. The PDM wants to put pressure on the government to get the NRO. The PDM is an unnatural and temporary alliance; it does not have any kind of political future.
The FM continued that the PPP wants to put pressure on PTI government but is reluctant to sacrifice the Sindh government.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that, Imran Khan Leadership believes in action under the law and the constitution.
Commenting about the COVID-19 vaccines, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that, “I am delighted that our iron brother China has once again sent us a gift of vials on a priority basis. We are very grateful to the Chinese government.”
