Security forces sealed the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) office in Gulistan-e-Johar area of Karachi after playing party anthem that includes the name of Founder of MQM.
Amir Khan, the central leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), inaugurated the election office in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi yesterday. A large number of workers and assembly members were present during the inauguration ceremony of the office.
This evening, the party anthem that includes the name of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founder started playing in the office.
MQM leaders also questioned the sound system owner for playing MQM founder’s anthems.
After the news broke in the media, the security agencies took action and reached the spot, sealed the office and seized the sound system.
MQM Pakistan has not yet issued a statement on the matter.
It should be noted that the founder of MQM has been admitted to the intensive care unit for two days after contracting coronavirus. According to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) London spokesman Qasim Ali Raza, Altaf Hussain’s condition is improving. He also appealed for prayers from the workers.
