Overseas Pakistanis play an important role in country’s economic progress, Shibli Faraz
Minister for Infomation Shibli Faraz has on Wednesday said that the PTI government has been making efforts to introduce the electronic voting system in the next general elections to ensure transparency.
While briefing the media officials on decisions taken in the federal cabinet meeting held in Islamabad, Shibli Faraz said that Overseas Pakistanis also take part in the next electoral process and cast votes.
He said the Pakistani diaspora has an important role in the economic progress of the country.
Prime Minister emphasized ensuring transparency in elections so that everyone has confidence over the electoral process and no one could raise objections over it, Faraz added.
The minister went on to add that the PTI’s efforts for the upcoming Senate elections are aimed at ensuring transparency in the process.
He said people have also come to know the elements who want to use money in the Senate elections.
The Minister said the Prime Minister issued directives for the departments concerned to take effective steps for checking incidents of rape and sexual assault against women and children.
He said the Prime Minister expressed concern that such incidents have not substantially decreased.
Shibli Faraz said the recently passed Inheritance Bill has made the process of acquiring succession certificates easy for legal heirs.
Earlier, Shibli Faraz had jumped in to congratulate the bright star. “Zara Naeem Dar has become the pride of the nation by topping the ACCA exams across the world. Congratulations,” he wrote on Twitter.
