Pakistan Has The Highest Desire For Peace In Afghanistan: PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that PTI government will continue to take steps for development in Afghanistan.

According to details, Ahmad Wali Masood, head of Masood Foundation Afghanistan, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, during the meeting the Prime Minister appreciated the services of the late Ahmad Shah Masood.

The Prime Minister briefed the head of Masood Foundation Afghanistan on Pakistan’s role in the Afghan peace process and the independent visa regime.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan called on all parties to work together to end the violence and establish a ceasefire and a peaceful, stable Afghanistan.

The Prime Minister said that the relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are long-standing, fraternal, based on culture and faith while there was no military solution to the Afghanistan conflict, a political settlement based on dialogue is the only solution to the Afghan conflict.

Imran Khan also said that Pakistan fully supports the US Taliban agreement, Pakistan has the highest desire for peace in Afghanistan after Afghans.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Afghanistan were expanding cooperation in various fields, including trade, to further strengthen bilateral relations.

Imran Khan also said that the intra-Afghan talks are a historic opportunity for the Afghan leadership and would continue to support the intra-Afghan talks.

Prime Minister Imran Khan further said that peace in Afghanistan would benefit the region while peace in Afghanistan would bring economic benefits to the region including trade and development.

DG ISI Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was also present in the meeting.
