Pakistanis are celebrating the second anniversary of operation Swift Retort. The whole nation remembers the day when the Pakistan Air Force treated the Indian pilot with a cup of tea and a surprise airstrike!
On this auspicious occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan took to Twitter and expressed his happiness. He congratulates the nation and salutes Armed Forces on the second anniversary of Pakistan’s response to the Indian airstrike.
“As a proud & confident nation, we responded with determined resolve at a time & place of our choosing,” he added.
I welcome restoration of the ceasefire along the LOC. The onus of creating an enabling environment for further progress rests with India. India must take necessary steps to meet the long-standing demand & right of the Kashmiri people to self determination acc to UNSC resolutions.

In another tweet, he recalled the time when Pakistan released the captured Indian pilot after Operation Swift Retort. “We have always stood for peace & remain ready to move forward to resolve all outstanding issues through dialogue.”
