PM Imran is personally concerned about the problems of employees: Shibli Faraz
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz has on Wednesday assured to soon address the problems faced by the federal employees.
Talking to the media persons in Islamabad, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan is particularly concerned about the problems of employees and has given directions to address them including those relating to their salaries.
The Information Minister expressed the confidence that the employees will end their protest today.
Responding to a question, Shibli Faraz said the present government inherited difficult economic situation due to the flawed policies of previous governments.
He added that it is because of our effective policies that the economy is now witnessing improvement despite the breakout of Covid-19. We are performing much better than the other regional countries.
The Information Minister said the issue of price hike will also be checked in the days to come. He said the economic progress will also help generate job opportunities for the people.
Earlier, Faraz had said that the incumbent government has nothing to do with the Broadsheet scandal.
He had said that “the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) compromised Pakistan’s moral values” because politicians misused it.
Taking a jibe at previous governments, the minister said that in the past, many people were “spared despite their corrupt practices,” while many others were “even given ministries [to hide their corruption]” he said.
He said that the NRO has always “pushed the country backwards,” because whenever the rulers of this country were charged with corruption, they saved themselves by using the NRO.”
“Those who were involved in corruption struck deals and those in power at the time facilitated them,” Faraz said. “The NRO compromised Pakistan’s moral values.”
