Sindh Govt. Announces ‘No Homework in Summer Vacations’

The Sindh Education Department on Wednesday announced that 40 percent of the curriculum left due to the schools closure amid the coronavirus pandemic will be taught in the next academic year.

According to the announcement, the main topics left out of the syllabus in the academic year 2020-21 will be included in the academic year 2021-22.

The Department said that the teaching process from nursery to eighth grade will be completed by June 6, 2021, whereas their examinations are scheduled from June 7.

The Education Department, in addition to this, directed to the schools administration to announce nursery to eighth grade examination results by June 26, 2021.

Sindh Education Department said that the schools must complete the academic year 2020-21 before the summer vacations break, which are scheduled from July to July 31, 2021.

Furthermore, Sindh Education Department also announced that there will be no homework for students during the summer vacations. The new session will be commencing from August 2, 2021.

For Classes 9 to 12, the teaching process will be continued till June 26, 2021. The Matriculation examinations this year will start from July 1 to July 15. According to the announcement, the dates finalized for matric exams this year will remain same next year as well.

The Sindh Education Department also announced that the intermediate exams will be held between July 28 and August 16, 2021.

The winter holidays will run from December 25 to January 10, 2022.
