Prime Minister Imran Khan has tested positive for coronavirus and he has quarantined himself at home.
His test report came positive two days after he received his coronavirus vaccine jab on Thursday.
The news raised concerns if the coronavirus vaccine is effective against the virus. People also raised the concern if the vaccine is giving harmful side effects.
However, the federal Minister for planning Asad Umar has clarified rumors. Taking to Twitter, he explained how the vaccine works.
“Some people questioning the efficacy of vaccination since he was vaccinated Thursday evening. The symptoms take a few days before manifesting.”
He also prayed for the speedy recovery of PM Khan.
“Hence it is certain that PM had been infected prior to vaccination.” “May Allah protect him and give him shifa.”
In the end, Umar urged everyone to receive the vaccine doses.
May Allah protect him and give him shifa. Some people questioning the efficacy of vaccination since he was vaccinated thursday evening. The symptoms take a few days before manifesting. Hence it is certain that PM had been infected PRIOR to vaccination. So please do vaccinate https://t.co/0ZZBamNVlS
