Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Wednesday joined the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI).

According to the details, Senator Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today. Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry was also present in the meeting.

Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif who will be retiring as Senator on March 11, 2021, had won the seat on the ticket of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

It may be recalled that seven years ago, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif left former President Pervez Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League and joined Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). He was also the former caretaker Federal Minister for Tourism and Youth Affairs.

Earlier, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani called on the Prime Minister and discussed in detail the election of Chairman and Deputy Chairman Senate.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed confidence in Sadiq Sanjarani and said that all the allies and the government stand by him.

The Prime Minister said that the name of the Deputy Chairman would also be finalized through consultation.

It is to be noted that Prime Minister nominated Sadiq Sanjrani for the post of chairman of the Senate once again.

The election of the chairman and deputy chairman of the upper house will be held on March 12. The opposition has nominated former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani for the post.
