Islamabad Quetta coronavirus lockdown
Coronavirus cases are rising as smart lockdown has been imposed in 7 sub-sectors of Islamabad.
As per the details, the smart lockdown has been imposed in Sector G and I. Whereas, the complete lockdown has been imposed in 6 areas including Bani Gala.
According to sources, the micro lockdown has been imposed in G-10/2, G-10/3, G-9/2, G-11/3, G-11/1, and I-8/3 whereas complete lockdown has been imposed in Bani Gala, Loi Bhir, PWD, DHA Phase-II, and Soan Garden.
On the other hand, authorities have imposed Section 144 in Quetta for two weeks due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.
A notification has been issued by the Home and Tribal Affairs Department according to which a gathering of 5 or more people have been banned in Quetta.
The local health department has asked to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) to limit the contagious virus. The law enforcement agencies have been directed as well.
Earlier, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) in a meeting decided to increase restrictions of activities contributing to a sharp increase in covid positivity.
Federal Minister for planning Asad Umar announced in a tweet amid the meeting. He wrote that provincial & ICT administrations were also directed to tighten implementation of SOPs and a crackdown on violations that are taking place.
