Coronavirus update: 4,525 New cases reported in the last 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 4,525 new cases of coronavirus whereas 41 patients have passed away in the last 24 hours.

According to the data by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the death toll has reached 14,256.

Data by NCOC shows that40,369 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours, overall 10,107,095 tests have been conducted so far in Pakistan.

On the other hand, 2,268 people have recovered in the last 23 hours while 3,055 patients are in critical condition. Overall 598,197 patients have beaten Covid-19. The total number of active cases is 46,663.

Punjab government has filed the first case over violation of Standard operating procedures (SOPs) enforced to curb the spread of coronavirus.

As per the details, a person has been accused in Lahore of not wearing a face mask.

The administration has warned that public transport carrying people without face masks will be closed.

People will be detained and can be jailed for six months if they do not wear the masks, according to Commissioner Lahore Muhammad Usman.
