Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi is all set to hold the Pakistan delegation at the 9th Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process (HoA-IP) Ministerial Conference going to take place in Dushanbe on March 30.
The theme of the Conference is “Strengthening Consensus for Peace and Development.” During the conference, FM Qureshi will highlight Pakistan’s actual participation in the Afghan peace process and its backing for Afghanistan’s development.
On the sidelines of the conference, he will hold consultations with key regional and international partners.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a telephonic conversation with his UAE counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
He offered condolences on the demise of UAE Finance Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, while the UAE Foreign Minister offered prayers and best wishes for the speedy recovery of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During the talks, issues of mutual interest including bilateral relations, promotion of bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.
The two Foreign Ministers expressed satisfaction over the nature of bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
Both the dignitaries agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that as a result of high-level contacts between Pakistan and the UAE, there has been a significant improvement in the transport facilities which needs to be further improved.
They also agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation and high-level contacts in international forums.
