Two educational institutions in Islamabad were sealed on Friday by the district health administration after the detection of novel coronavirus cases.

According to the details, the administration sealed educational institutions in Islamabad’s sectors I-10/1 and F-7/3.

The virus cases have been rising in the educational institutions since they were reopened and resumed regular classes from March 1 after the announcement from Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mehmood.

He tweeted:

“Important announcement. All schools would go back to regular 5 day classes from Monday, March 1,”

He went on to say in another tweet, “Restrictions imposed in some major cities on schools to conduct staggered classes was only till Feb 28.”

On the other hand, Pakistan recorded 1,527 recoveries from the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours taking the national tally of recovered patients to 556,769.

According to the national dashboard, more 52 deaths were reported during this period and 1,579 new cases emerged after conducting 37,998 tests.
