Micro smart lockdown has been imposed in certain areas of Karachi amid a surge in coronavirus cases.

As per the details, the Deputy Commissioner of District Central has announced to impose lockdown/ According to the notification, the lockdown has been enforced following the identification of hotspot areas by the district health minister.

According to the notification, the micro smart lockdown has been imposed in North Karachi, North Nazimabad, and Liaquatabad.

Authorities have asked the residents to wear face masks and maintain social distances. The authorities have also banned pillion riding and unnecessary travel. Moreover, business and industrial activities have been prohibited as well.

Earlier this month, as per the official notification, the micro-smart lockdown has been imposed in areas including Street 9 of Sector E-11 Phase I and Street 5 of Sector F-V Phase VI Hayatabad, Street 3 of Gulbahar 4, and Street 11 of Defense Colony.

The official notification stated that people will not be allowed to leave the areas or enter the areas except those providing essential items.
