The Lahore High Court on Monday has issued notice to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz on the bail cancellation petition and sought reply on April 7.
According to the details, the Lahore High Court heard a petition filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) seeking revocation of Maryam Nawaz’s bail. PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz and the Interior Ministry were made parties in the petition.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Sarfraz Dogar heard the arguments. The NAB Prosecutor Faisal Bukhari gave arguments in the Lahore High Court and took the position that Maryam Nawaz Chaudhry Sugar Mills has been out on bail on money laundering charges and is making statements against state institutions.
The NAB requested the court that Maryam Nawaz did not provide records in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case despite the NAB’s notice, therefore her bail should be canceled.
A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court today on the NAB’s request to cancel the bail of PML-N Central Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
