Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz lambasts at PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz over recent remarks about the National Accountability Burea (NAB) and her innocence.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad today (Monday), Shibli Faraz said that the incumbent PTI government will never leave those corrupts easily who looted the country.
He said, “PDM is working on the agenda of protecting their personal interests at the cost of violating the law.”
The minister further claimed that the government will ensure a law and order situation during Maryam’s appearance before NAB.
“This attitude is extremely dangerous,” he said.
“Maryam Nawaz’s tone at the convention yesterday was disappointing. She sounded like a person devoid of intellect,” added the Information minister.
“Opposition parties are exhibiting the same behaviour of past when they used to take law in hands but they shouldn’t forget this is Naya Pakistan where no one is above the law,” he added.
Speaking about the JUI-F’s Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Faraz said that being a religious leader he should avoid indulging in corrupt activities.
Shibli Faraz added more that the government’s main focus is on improving the economy, reducing inflation and making the common man’s life better.
NAB Is Mistaken If It Believes It Will Scare Me, Maryam Nawaz
The future of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the fake government depends on its performance, said Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz here on Sunday.
While addressing the youth convention in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that PM Imran has to answer for his party’s incompetency, not the PDM.
The PDM will not allow the incumbent PTI government to leave so easily, added the Vice President.
She further said, “[Nawaz Sharif] was removed in 2017 on false allegations.”
“Even today, when they have to strike against Nawaz Sharif, they have to arrest his brother and summon his daughter before NAB in a political case,” Maryam added.
The PML-N vice president added, “When the government tired of all other allegations” NAB has accused her of “speaking against institutions.”
PDM is united enough to tackle the government and will surely demand a proper response from them, added Maryam Nawaz.
Furthermore, She said NAB is mistaken if it believes it will scare her. “I lived in a death cell by myself,” added the leader.
“I am not like Imran Khan with an armed police guard standing outside for a getaway by climbing over the wall,” Maryam said.
