Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the meeting with the Indian Foreign Minister was not scheduled.
Talking to the media in Dushanbe, the Foreign Minister said, “throughout the day, I was busy with my meetings and the Indian Foreign Minister was busy with his affairs.”
The agreement to implement the 2003 ceasefire agreement in the Line of Control is a good development. The ceasefire will benefit Kashmiris and are also happy with the decision to the ceasefire.
The Foreign Minister said that the Indian Prime Minister wrote a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan on Pakistan Day.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has replied to the letter to the Indian Prime Minister. The Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed his desire for peace in the letter.
Pakistan wants to live in peace with all the neighbouring countries including India adding the Kashmir issue is the biggest dispute between the two countries.
The issues are complicated by the Indian steps of August 5, 2019. The steps taken by India on August 5 did not bring anything to India.
India did not get what it wanted. India has to create a conducive environment for dialogue with Pakistan.
The Foreign Minister further said that Pakistan has never refused to hold talks with India adding problems between the two nuclear powers can only be resolved through dialogue.
