The Multi-National Air Exercise Aces Mate-2021 has commenced today at an Operational Air Base of Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
The air forces of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the United States are taking part in the exercises, while the air forces of Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan have been invited to participate as observers.
Air Vice-Marshal Waqas Ahmad Silhari, Deputy Chief of Air Staff (Operations) was the Chief Guest at the inaugural function.
Addressing the participants, he said that international exercises are not new to the participants of this military exercise or the AirPower Center of Excellence, however, the Aces Mate exercises are unique because the air forces participating in these exercises are themselves involved in operational activities and has extensive experience in combat operations, whether against terrorism or in the air. Therefore, this platform should be used to achieve mutual benefits and benefit from the experiences of the participants.
